The role of Health and Safety Assistant is to provide support to the Senior Health and Safety Advisor, primarily focussing on assisting with Health & Safety procedures, home assessments and wider administration work on a local and global scale.
This is a part time, fixed term contract role working two days per week.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Organise DSE training and assessments for new joiners and when needed and maintaining records
* Keep each UK and International office master H&S files (inclusive of but not limited to Fire plans, RAMS, COSHH, datasheets, Asbestos registers) and general risk assessments up to date
* Update paperwork (spreadheets)
* Keep invoices and invoice spreadsheet up to date
* Update master spreadsheet, BCP plan, Insite, posters, mailing list, lists for main reception grab bag, list for defib bag, fire warden packs, InHouse with FW/FA changes
* Keep documents up to date on Insite
* Organisation of fire extinguisher maintenance, pest control visits and fire risk assessments where needed * Keep master files up to date
* Keep documents up to date on the H&S pages of InSite
* Liaising with Marketing and L&D on H&S portal
* Research products and equipment
* Researching and understanding of changes in regulations and standards.
* Keep each UK and International office master H&S files (inclusive of but not limited to Fire plans, RAMS, COSHH, datasheets, Asbestos registers) and general risk assessments up to date
* Update master spreadsheet, Business Contingency Plan (BCP), InSite, posters, mailing list, lists for main reception grab bag, list for defibrillator bag, fire warden packs, InHouse with FW/FA changes
* The visual checking of: First aid boxes, Fire extinguishers/ pulled pins, Defib batteries, H&S information & posters after updates
* General administrative duties
* Monitor H&S inbox and respond to any requests
* Regular first aid/fire warden cover emails
* Organise and update relevant records regarding manual handling training
* Being a Fire Warden is desirable
* Being a First Aider is desirable
* Be responsible for working from home assessments and in office assessments
