A great opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary/PA at one of the leading US law firms in London.

Salary up to £50,000 - hybrid working policy.

Working in beautiful offices with the environment best described as bustling but relaxed, you will support the Arbitration/Litigation department, looking after a mixture of fee earners from Partner to Trainee.

Duties will include:

  • Carrying out all typing, dictation and secretarial services, including photocopying, scanning and at times lengthy document production, editing and formatting.
  • Preparing standard documents and forms from templates
  • Using the Firm's technology, including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; information and document management systems.
  • Opening new clients and matters on the database system.
  • Carrying out conflict checks.
  • Maintaining diaries and schedules, including travel arrangements and preparing itineraries.
  • Processing expenses and preparing invoices for clients
  • Handling time entries
  • Answering and taking care of telephone calls and correspondence.
  • Liaising with clients and other third parties to organise internal and external meetings and conferences.
  • Maintaining client contact database (InterAction).
  • Organising and maintaining hard copy and electronic filing systems.
  • Covering other support functions as and when required.

Previous experience within a law firm is required, ideally a US one too. As for Legal knowledge, a good understanding of Arbitration/Litigation is essential although other areas of Law will be considered as your skills are very much transferable.
