***Legal Operations Manager / Legal Resource Manager***

I'm recruiting on behalf of a growing City Law Firm seeking a Resource Manager for a senior role within their Central Operations function.

Competitive Salary - between £80,000 - £100,000 doe.

Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 WFH)

This position plays a key role in overseeing the financial, operational and compliance performance of the firm's legal departments.

Working closely with Heads of Department who hold P&L responsibility, the Resource Manager will act as a trusted operational partner, supporting efficiency, profitability, regulatory compliance and strategic growth.

This role would suit an experienced professional services manager, ideally from a legal environment, who enjoys operating at both strategic and hands-on levels.

Responsibilities include:

Overseeing financial management; expense approvals, budgets monitoring.

Ensuring compliance is followed, inc AML, SRA, etc.

Assist with performance data across legal departments, handle complaints and advise on improvement

Support with recruitment planning for trainees, apprentices and newly qualified lawyers

Coordinating departmental training around firm-wide metrics

Manage partner onboarding and offboarding, including client and matter transitions

Acting as an escalation point for operational and systems-related issues

You will require the following:

Proven experience in a senior operational or resource management role within professional services

Previous experience in a law firm (highly desirable)

Strong stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills

Be commercially minded, detail-focused and confident in decision-making

Be comfortable working with financial and document management systems

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
